Our Urgent Care facility has an opportunity for a House Physician to cover inpatient needs. In-house hours are 6 p.m. — 6 a.m.; inpatient coverage is from 10 p.m. — 6 a.m. The schedule will alternate between 4-12 hour shifts one week and 3-12 hour shifts the next. Billing is done off site; Medicare and BCBS make up 80% + of the payer mix. This is an employed position with the hospital; competitive salary and full benefits available. A solo practitioner is looking for an associate to join an employed practice, which has been in existence for over 20 years. The practice sees approximately 100 outpatients per week; patients ranging in age from 18 -105 years old. Outpatient visits include but are not limited to physical examinations, follow up from hospital stays, EKG's blood draws, nebulizer treatments and pulmonary function testing. Physician and/or Physician Assistant do inpatient rounding. On-site ancillary services include blood draws and patients requiring other services are referred to the local hospital. Billing is done on site; payer mix is 25% HMO, 75% Medicare/Medicaid. Office hours are 8:45 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Fridays. The office is open one Saturday per month and closed on Wednesdays. Call schedule is 1:2. Competitive salary with revenue minus expense model; full benefits. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited medical school and must have successfully completed training in an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
