Hospitalist Director
Director, Hospitalist Program for hospital, a 177 bed community hospital located thirty minutes west of Boston.
Selected BC Internist will provide clinical and administrative leadership and be an active hospitalist along with an established and stable team of 10.
Hospitalists manage all admissions and attend for 45 primary care physicians from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm daily.
Demonstrated program management and/or leadership, solid interpersonal skills and a collaborative management approach strongly desired.

This job opportunity is optimal for physicians who would like to spend more time with their family. The position will be days/evenings with 2 weeks working on day shift and switching to evening shifts for the next 2 weeks. May have to work weekends but those shifts are mostly assigned to per diem physicians.

HOSPITALIST - Come join an expanding 8 year old Hospitalist Program at a 228 bed, full service hospital with all specialties. Schedule consists of 35-40 hours a week, 140 hours per month, 1680 hours per year! This is the lowest scheduled hours for Hospitalist programs in the country for comparable pay. 8-10 hour days; typically 4-5 days on/off but flexible. Approximately 30 overnight shifts a year required unless you desire more. Dedicated rounders and admitters. Admitters average 1.5 admissions per hour. Hospitalists see adult patients only and provide ICU care with Intensivist back-up. Nocturnist schedule on a part-time or full-time basis. Moonlighting shifts available. Great group dynamics and full support from Administration and the Medical Staff Hospital.
Progressive community hospital invites BE/BC Hospitalists to expand a 7 person Hospitalist Program. Our program provides nearly 100% of the medical care for inpatients. Hospitalists work an average of 14 shifts per month in a 4 on 4 off schedule. Outstanding schedule provides the physician with quality of life as a priority. Schedules are made up 3-6 months in advance allowing for improved integration of career and family. Only 28-30 overnight shifts/year but flexible if you desire more. Dedicated daily admitter. Primary care group practice seeking Internal Medicine physician for expansion. This is a collaborative group practice setting with established presence in the community. Shared outpatient call coverage 1:6 weekday / weekend with hospitalist service for inpatient coverage.

Office is approximately 10 miles (20 minutes) from the hospital with ample parking available on-site. Office suite is located along Route 110 in the heart of the city's commercial district. Average 20-25 patients per day; current practice experiencing 3-4 new patients daily. Both adult and adolescent medicine provided. Laboratory and X-Ray services on-site. Electronic health record. Provider Attributes:
The primary care practice has been established for more than 20 years. Provider compliment includes 5 physicians and 3 nurse practitioners. Physician clinical interests include geriatrics, infectious disease, womens health and prevention and all focus predominantly on primary care. Compensation:
Annual salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits including insurance and CMEs. Partner track after initial review period. Practice matches 401k contributions up to 3%. Incentive plan based on volume and quality measures can add up to 20 to 30 percent additional over base salary. Practice income guarantee for approximately 18-24 months. A psychiatrist is needed 20 hours per week at this 100% adult inpatient unit. The locum doctor will cover up to 4 beds, generally less. The average length of stay is 9.5 days. The psychiatrist will need to be able to do histories and physicals with the two other physicians on unit. At most, there is one admission and one discharge per day.
