New York - Hospitaist Internal Medicien
Hospitalist IM, Hospitalist Internal Medicine needed in Davenport NY. Rural area, full-time permanent, full benefits including malpractice. Candidate must be BC/BE. The client will accept IMG’s who are US Residency trained. Board Certified/Eligible internist to join a hospital owned Internal Medicine practice with one hospitalist and two traditional internists. The hospitalists rounds on the inpatients for the practice and the traditional internists share call nights and weekends. Call would be 1:4 although there is flexibility for the practice to redesign how it works. The goal is for the practice to have a hospitalist service available to other physicians in the community and care for their inpatients if requested. There is a competiltive salary and generous benefit package.

Specific skill sets required: General Family Practice (all ages) Patients/volume expected to be seen per day: 20-30+ Number of hospitals/clinics serviced: 1 hospital Service area 40000-50000 Payer Mix: Medicaid –10%, Medicare – 30%, Self Pay – 5%, Commercial -55% of HMOs 0% Referral Base/Patterns: Good ER Call Schedule Details: Weekdays M-F (Fri until 5p.m.) – Unattached Patients 7am – 7pm – FPs take no call. Hospitalist covers. Weekdays M-F (Fri until 5pm) – Attached Patients (24 hours) – FPs round on own attached patients. The FP group is very flexible with weekend call, so everyone gives and takes for harmony.
